Why a Photobook
Hoping to inspire
…people to travel more and explore. Because this way we understand each other and ourselves more. And it is easier than most people think of. You simply get in your car and drive of…
Hoping to prove
…the absurdity of fearing the foreign or strange; to prove that life can be lived exceptionally under any conditions and in any latitude; from Grand Canyon to posthurricane Louisiana, from Georgia O’Keefe’s house to Elviis’ Graceland and from Detroit’s Techno Museum to the Niagara Falls.
Hoping to create
...a mega-memory to share with other people. A “reproduction” of the time constrained reality of our road trip, that carries a bit of the character of each place we visited; not what that place is or looks like but how it felt.
Because “There is nowhere to go but everywhere, so just keep on rolling under the stars.” Jack Kerouac, On the Road
Why to print?
Because we need more tactile, homemade sensory media in our lives.
Because we love the feel of print.
Because we love the smell of print.
Because we are committed to quality and craft.
A crowdfunding story
Last year we successfully crowdfunded the print of the first 150 photobooks via Indiegogo platform. Read more about the campaign here.
We carefully printed, signed and shipped the photobook to our supporters in 12 countries around the world.
The printmaking
Kakiousis Bros, a digital printing service based in Thessaloniki, Greece, took over the printing of the photobook, posters and post cards, enhancing the final products in all levels with commitment and professionalism.
