route #11: Chicago, Illinois to Detroit, Michigan

Detroit Greenfield Park is a campground next to Ford Lake Park, 35 miles from Detroit. Paddle boats, mini-golf playground, water slides and picnic tables by the lake for peaceful breakfasts. At night, a gentle Vietnam veteran who was working with his wife at the Park during summers…

The Henry Ford Museum and The Ford Rouge Factory. From an elevated walkway we saw the final assembly line of the Ford F-150 pick-up truck – Ford’s first moving assembly line was in 1913- where the perfectly synchronized people, robots and moving stage perform daily a repeated choreography. John Jammin Collins, DJ and producer at Underground Resistance, welcomed us at Submerge Recording Studio. This building just down the street from Motown Museum…
